ABOUT WOOLPIT NURSERIES
Woolpit Nurseries is an independent family business, started over 40 years ago in 1978 by Pam and Bob Jackson. Initially, it was a nursery growing tomatoes commercially and then expanded into bedding plants and hanging baskets 25 years ago selling directly to the public.
In 2002 their son in law Andrew Brain joined the business, and a few years later his wife Catherine also joined. From this time production increased and today supplies over 250,000 seasonal plants and 2,500 hanging baskets every year for the general public, businesses and local authorities. They supply and install ‘In Bloom’ displays for Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Stowmarket and Newmarket.
For the last five years, Andrew and Catherine have driven the business forward as one of the few remaining grower nurseries in the area, with more than 90% of the plants grown at Woolpit Nurseries. Read more Woolpit Nurseries Family business in Suffolk.
